Waffles comfort foods have been in many a kitchen. A waffle is a pancake flat pasta cooked between two hot plates called a waffle iron. Belgian waffle irons provide a lot of money to catch the butter and syrup. Nothing like a warm, buttery waffles swimming in syrup.
